        Mugscription FAQs

        What exactly is included in an Annual Mugscription?

        An Annual Mugscription delivers your chosen number of Ugly Mugs over the course of a year. Choose between 4, 6, 8 or 12 mugs spread across 12 months.
        Choose your finish, either Standard or Coloured (all mugs in your Mugscription will have the same finish), then tell us which designs you'd love, which you'd rather avoid, leave the choosing entirely to us, or a mixture of all three.
        For now, Mugscriptions are available exclusively for our 11oz (325ml) mugs, with designs selected from across our Ugly Mug collection. We'll take care of the rest, delivering your mugs according to your chosen package schedule.

        How often / when do I pay?

        Just once. You'll pay the full amount upfront when you purchase your Annual Mugscription, covering all your mugs and their deliveries over the next 12 months.
        There are no recurring payments, no hidden delivery charges and no automatic renewals. Once your year of Ugly is up, your Mugscription simply ends. 

        Can I choose exactly which mugs to receive?

        Absolutely. You can pick exactly which Ugly Mugs you'd love to receive, tell us which designs you'd rather avoid, or leave the choosing entirely to us.
        Use the 'Find a Mug' search to add your favourites and exclusions. You don't have to choose every mug in your Mugscription either. Pick a few, and we'll handpick the rest based on your Mood and Intent preferences.
        And if you'd rather have a complete surprise - Just leave the mug selections blank and let us decide just how Ugly Mug you are.

        If I select a favourite mug, am I guaranteed to receive it?

        Yes. If you've picked it, you're getting it. No substitutions, no funny business.
        Every favourite you select is guaranteed to make an appearance during your Mugscription. We’ll handpick any remaining mugs based on your preferences, so you get the designs you love, with a little Ugly Mug surprise thrown in.

        Can I change my preferences and delivery address after purchasing?

        Of course. Life happens. Tastes change. People move house. We get it.
        Whether you want to shake up your mug preferences or change where your Ugly gets delivered, just head to our Manage My Mugscription [INSERT HYPERLINK] page and send us your updated details.
        We'll take care of the changes for any future deliveries that haven't already been processed. No fuss, no drama, no mugs turning up at your old address.

        Will I ever receive the same mug design twice?

        Nope, that would just be daft. Once you've had an Ugly Mug, you've had it. We won't send you the same design twice during your Mugscription.
        Every delivery brings something different, whether you've picked your favourites or left us to do the dirty work. A year of Ugly, without the déjà vu.

        When will my mugs be delivered?

        Choose your preferred first delivery date (at least 15 days after purchase), and we'll take it from there. Your remaining mugs will arrive according to your chosen Mugscription schedule:
        • 4 mugs: One every 3 months
        • 6 mugs: One every 2 months
        • 8 mugs: Two every 3 months
        • 12 mugs: One every month

        What is the personalised printed card?

        It's our way of making your gift a little more personal (and a lot less boring).
        Every gifted Mugscription comes with a printed card explaining what they've got themselves into, complete with your own personalised message. You can have the card sent straight to the lucky recipient or delivered to you, so you can hand it over yourself. Either way, the mugs will be delivered directly to the recipient's address.
        No awkward gift-wrapping, no giving the game away. Just one very happy Ugly Mug!

        Can the gift recipient manage their own delivery preferences?

        Absolutely. Just because you bought the Ugly doesn't mean you’re calling the shots forever (sorry).
        Every gifted Mugscription comes with a personalised printed card featuring a QR code and URL linking to our Manage My Mugscription [INSERT HYPERLINK] page.
        The lucky human can use it to request changes to their delivery address or mug preferences throughout the year. We'll take care of the updates, provided the next delivery hasn't already been processed.
        Their mugs. Their rules. Even if it was you picking up the bill.

        What happens if a mug arrives damaged, is lost in transit or isn't what I expected?

        Hide the disappointment and get in touch. We’ll sort it. It really is that simple.
